A Scissor-tailed Flycatcher hunting for its next meal. They mostly feed on insects. They will also eat some spiders and sometimes they will feed on small berries and wild fruits.

A Scissor-tailed Flycatcher devours it’s catch. They will sometimes catch insects in mid-air, hover over an area of ground, and return to their perch to eat. They can swallow small prey when flying back. If the catch is too big they may return to the perch and bang the insect against it before eating.

A Great Blue Heron watches as an aluminum beer can bobs near by. Herons can glide at speeds from 20-30 miles per hour and spend 90% of their waking hours hunting. A Heron normally lives up to 15 years and the oldest recorded was 24 years old.
